Has anyone who has 07 or newer changed their cabin filter yet? Just wondering if the process is still the same and we have to cut off that plastic cross brace one the initial change. I am assuming you still have to take off the glove box to gain access.
If so, they could have made it easier because on my 06 RL, you just peel off the lining that is velcroed in the glove box and the filter is right there, no tools need. Thanks. |

| I have not done it, but I've read the Service Manual about it. THe procedure has changed. There is now a pull out tray for the cabin air filter. It sure looks easy. |

Shootist, I like you am a 3peat also. I know that the first gen was a PITA to change, but I was familiar with it.
Does the glove box still need to removed first to gain access to the filter? Where at exactly is the pull out tray? TIA |

Quoth the Manual:
Open glove box. Remove glove box stop on right side. Let glove bax hang down.
Pull out tray over evaporator.
Lift out and replace filter.
A referenced subsection says you "release" the stop, not "remove" the stop.
No pics- my manual and my scanner are in different houses. |

| Since I was already taking pics for a different thread, here you go. I had to do the plastic brace cutting step for my TL the first time and this definitely looks easier. |

| Thanks shootist and eujinc. It looks almost as easy as the RL. Though I only have 350 miles on it right now so it'll be a while before it needs to replaced, it's good to know before going in. |
