I did a panel (hood) on my RL (who has the most layers of old school zaino Z-5 mostly and Z-6). I am not feeling this new stuff. It felt like rubbing sun tan lotion on the car! This morning I woke to smearing marks.....  And it has a nasty odor....

I asked LionSpeed to call me but I'm sure he LOST HIS MIGHTY BACKBONE........So many folks are parinoid to call human beings these days.......Perhaps this new stuff is not best for BLACK vehicles when compared to the LAZY person color cars these days (silver metalic and the like......)

I then took out the old Z-5, the 7424 Porter buffer and did one side of the hood against that new lazy persons stuff, NO COMPARO MY FRIEND.....I'll stick to the old stuff......:1:

Which Z number is this?
Fabvsix
Z-CS and Z AIO

You applied it way to heavy. That's exactly what happens when you apply too much Z-CS. Follow the instructions on the bottle. You should be using 1/4th as much Z-CS on the car as you would Z-6 or Z-8.

No one on autopia, detailcity or roadfly is having the same problems you are (nor have I). Everyone is raving about it.

Thanks Jhue! I thought maybe that was the case......I try another panel. Thanks for the tip!

Let us know how it turns out Fab. I too have used the Z-CS and don't like it too much. I have used it twice and didn't think I was using too much, but maybe I was. I got the same smearing you mentioned, both times.

It would seem difficult to put less on than I have, as it looks like nothing is going on, but if you have good results, I will try it that way...although probably not until the Spring. I've had the car since 8/21 and put 3 coats of Z-5 and 2 of the Z-CS on. If this stuff is as good a protectant as they say, that should be more than ample to get me through the cold, miserable, blustery, ice-laden weather that is Chicago winter:(

I have not finished the RL. I stopped on Thursday evening. Upon a glance, it appears that the freaking new cotton pad given with my order created spider webs! NOT impressed with this stuff thus far! I'm not convienced that it is good for the color BLACK which is the most difficult to keep flawless.....Silver metalics "colors" are for LAZY people and Sal is trying to accomodate everyone and everybody under the moon! I'm old school and will probably remain that way. Nothing beats "elbow grease" .......

This weekend I created my Succulant garden.....lets see if the picture attaches.....

Can't attach pictures either here.

P.S. going on my 4th week without a car wash... still shine like crazy. this lazy's CS appears to be working with METALLIC? LOL.
Fabvsix
same here. I hope they are working on the problem cause I ain't interested in photo bucket and the like programs........

Maybe a stupid question, but how would the pad cause spiderwebs?

Regarding the elbow grease, I'm kind of leaning that way myself, however I will probably still use the CS for the protection, not to mention that I have a whole bottle of it left.
Fabvsix
Some how the cotton pad scratched as I applied this new CS stuff...I've not revisited this project as I was getting my new Succulent garden in place. Here are the results.....

At least my yard will not BURN as SoCal is .........as I said......burnt out desert dump! They should clean their yards of the DEAD DEBRIS:rolleyes: espically when it hasn't rained there in over 12 months....just a diaster waiting to happen or one flick of a cigarette out the car window and BAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Elbow grease: Old fashion removal of wax by hand and cotton towel......

Nice GREEN I must say.

It is a relief to see somethine else rather than every bolt, every nut, every inch of the MDX once in a while. Thanks Fab. Beautiful little garden.

It took 2.5 days of love (intense work) as I had to buy all that remained at Walmart, OSH, HomeDepot and Lowes in my home town. Monday I went to a local nursery that was closed on Sundays and bought larger succulents of course, more expensive ones to complete the project. Every evening when I shut down or need to take a break, it is so nice to go out and just look closely at all these succulents. Each one is different and now some are starting to form buds (flowers)! I can't wait til Spring next year as they will progress, multiply and get much larger as the climate here is good (SoCal has the perfect climate for them however).

I don't care for the "Wipe and Walk" Zaino!!!!! I let the RL dry for a week, not driven (parked and covered) and I found smears, smugges in the area's I tested this CS sealant by Zaino. I took folks recomendations as to apply less (I can read instructions on the bottle and have been at this for years......) and it still left smears and marks that I can't accept. Also the cotton pad given with my recent order, applied spider webs !!!!!! So I give a thumbsdown on the LAZY mans Zaino and will stick with Elbow grease, Z2, Z5, Z6 and Grand Finale and Z7 for washing. I'll try that CS stuff on the our pearl white RDX as I think the color black is not best with this product. I'm wide open to suggestions other than "your applying too much" cause that ain't the case......
Weather today, Saturday and Sunday will be flawless (BBQ/Smoke/Wash/Wax) weather. I may even buy some fresh crawfish and have a boil as I'm craving live crawfish boil in the good Louisiana swamp concoction! MUHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAH
Happy Friday ! :10: :18: :26:  :jump3: :19: :19: :19:

for those noticing those gizmos sticking out of the ground behind the bed, one is black with a green top and one silver with a green top, those are GHOPER gadgets to rid them and assist my cats to catch them like this sucker ! Some are solar (newer ones) and older ones battery operated (phasing out...) as solar is the way to go. Also that bed is lined with "chicken wire" to bullet proof that flower bed.....More work than the "eye" can see.....
LionSpeed
jesus christ. i'm terrified by mouse for some reason, especially dead mouse. thanks for spoiling my lunch fab.

Now dog on the other hand is a delicacy. yummmy!
Fabvsix
You couldn't PAY me enough to EAT dog!

:16:

But I bet you would eat this fried alligator as it is more civilized and not delivered on a freaking trashed out bike basket! ;)
LionSpeed
You serious? A man like you are, traveling everywhere in difference places, enjoying great food & wine & have never tried dog? Come on fab.... Perhaps the picture below would get your appetite going.....

Make sure NOT to let your beloved DOGS loose in Burbank! :( :(
LionSpeed
Who says there is any dog left in Burbank at all?

:5: :19: :jester:

P.S. I didn't just pick the name "LionSpeed" for no reason. Lion loves dog. Speed is needed to catch 'em all. Ya know what I mean? :2:
Fabvsix
Totally disgusting LS! NO DICE, NADA ever at least not in this life time!!!! BARF, PUKE.......

LionSpeed
Fab, don't tell me you believed all I've said? Looking at those images nuff to make me sick to the stomach. Just forget about the "DOG" itself for a moment, the poor hygiene practices (fr pictures above) enough to make me puke myself. I'll might eat it if I don't know what's I'm eating, but no way in hell eating them raw like that. :)

P.S. Confession!
When I was six, my grandma fed me a piece of dog meat once (nicely prepared). At the time I ate it, the taste didn't impress me too much. About 3-4 hours later, my whole mouth & gum got swollen up. Must have been some kind of allergy. That was it. No more dog for me ever. May be I'm not meant to eat dog after all.
Fabvsix
some cajuns eat: possum, raccoon, nutria rat, but not me !

I have eaten:
Squirrel (Squirrel spaghetti is really good)
Rabbit
Alligator (looks and taste just like fried chicken as does rabbit)
Robbins (robbin stew is delicious!)
Wood cock
Deer

But I would NEVER eat dog of any kind.........We had to get rid of this dog because everytime we got dressed in the moring this dog just stared at us......gave me the creeps......

Nice Photoshop skills!:2:
Fabvsix
And how could anyone think about eating my good red friends here ?

Boy, you have some old hideous looking dogs there, especially the half human half k-9 one. LOL. Instead of giving it away, why don't we save the trouble the let the poor thing to rest. I happen to have some extra ativan laying around... we sure can start him/her with a small dose first. :)
