Since the wine and cooking section is dead and this one not too much better I thought I post here....

The other day a guest came over with this Bud beer. She asked me if I had tried it. Not being a big beer drinker, but do love limey/salty/V8 juice stuff.....I tried it. Much to my surprise this stuff is fantastic. So Monday I'm off to find it. To much my surprise, it was no where to be found.....so I called AB in St. Louis Missouri and they told me it is very limited, new as of August and marketed toward the mexican areas in the US, California being one of them.....so they gave me my local town distributor. Only small liquor stores, 7-11's and SaveMart are carrying it for now. I'm now hooked on it as I have one everyday at 5 p.m. Bud "Chelada Lime and Salt"....they have regular and lite only in 24 oz cans....

for those V8 juice haters, you may just be surprised.....Try it.....:1: :1: :1:

I call it the "RED BEER"........

A few years ago, I bought a bottle of Clamato down in Tucson. I'm not sure why, I just did. Anyway, I don't always think to clearly so I didn't put 2 and 2 together and thought Clamato was just a catchy name for a V8 copy. I took a sip and had one of those experiences where you taste a flavor that you can't quite place. Then I looked at the label and it instantly came to me:

Clam juice + Tomato juice=Clamato juice.

I'll trust you that Clam juice + Tomato juice + Budweiser=Tasty, but given my altruistic nature I'll let you have first dibs at the limited supply.

That is interesting looking corn-on-the-cob. Is it the fall Indian variety?

Why didn't you just label this thread - "Things to make you puke"

Bud is horrible alone, I can't believe mixxing it with anything would make it better. Bud has one use in my house, boiling beer brats!

I agree GMC that Bud is for cooking or marinating......but this stuff is quite good....

I'll pass on the bugs and worms LionSpeed.......barf......

Also before you jump to conclusions, I marinated chicken breasts (on the ribs) in this Chelada with some additional lime juice and seasoning (Tony's) for the afternoon. Stab a few times with a sharp knife, place pieces in large zip lock bag, pours in half can of Chelada, add more lime juice and sprinkle Tony's (don't be shy...) and let sit for 3-4 hours.
Heat grill, place and cook....serve with grilled veggies....yum yum.....(get creative folks.....)

You can also bake in oven at 325 for an hour. Pour 1 can of Rotel Tomatoes with canned juice for the remaining 20 minutes and serve with steamed white rice.......:1: :1: :1:
