I have the '07 sport. getting a clunk/clank on both right and left turns from a stop. Sounds like it is on the left side (driver's side). Can't tell if it is front or rear. Does anyone have the same problem?

there is an intermittent noise (thunk-clunk) usually at parking lot or intersection speeds when redirecting vehicle through a turn.

******replaced both front lower control arm brackets.*******

the above is from my dealer repair invoice.
the dealer said acura is working on a modified (better?) bracket but so far the replacements are the original eqpt. it was a definite fix. they were replaced at about 7k miles and so far at 9k the noise has not returned.
if what dealer says about acura working on better brackets is true you might assume there is a TSB on it.

good luck. ray

See if any of these Technical Service Bulletins apply.

Thanks for the info, Rayman! Now all I have to do is get the noise to happen when the service tech is in the car. Brought the car in twice, and it didn't make the noise, except on the way home of course! Doesn't happen on bumps, only sometimes on a slow turn from a stop.

Add me to the mix.

I have a similar noise and have been told by my dealer that a fix is in the works and it pertains to the lower control arms or brackets as you mention.

I have an open issue with Acura regarding this and suggest anyone with this noise do the same to let Honda know to get a fix out faster.

I have had this noise since day one (almost a year now) and just over 8k miles now. It has not gotten any worse but just annoying on a 50k truck.

ron:

it seems to me you don't have to wait for the "new" brackets to be available. if they can't give you a date, politely let them know your not a "satisfied customer" for all the reasons that the noise bothers you, including $50k and you just want the brackets replaced for now. you've got to be polite but insistant...

happy motoring. ray.

I agree I do not have to wait, but the noise is annoying and not a problem.

I would rather have them take things apart as few times as possible and use the 'revised' parts if they ever actually create them.

I need to go back for an inspection next month so I will bug the Shop Steward again.

Brought the car in for the third time. New bolts for the rear shock upper mounts as per service bulletin. Dealer ordered new left front strut assembly. Hope this does it. Picking up the car tomorrow. I'll let you folks know how it turns out. Thanks for all the ideas!

After three visits to the dealer and replacement of the rear shock mounting bolts (service bulletin) and also a left front strut assembly, the clank was still there. The dealer put the 'ears' on the car (microphone set on the car frame) and located the source of the clank; the left rear trailing arm bushing. This was replaced, and so far, all is well with my '07 sport.
