Had 3 motor mounts replaced @ 66k and transmission replaced at 71k w/ remanufactured unit under extended warranty. Should this be a new unit? What about legendary Honda reliability?

Wow, first post in 4.5 years - you must be the All-Time Lurker of Lurkers. Honda reliability is just that: a legend. Even the mighty Toyota has slid down from its pedestal.

Reman units are rebuilt to new specs. Honda quality is very good, however, it is unrealistic to expect that all Acura's will never have a problem. Honda/Acura's reliability ratings are relative to their competition. The high reliability ratings mean that your chance of having a problem is a lot lower than that of a competitors vehicle with a lower rating - it does not mean that there will be 0 problems. Did Acura pay for any of it?

What was the problem you had that you needed a new transmission? Mine is slipping into neutral once in a while? Was the replacement covered with an extended warranty? If not, what did it cost? Thanks.
