Hello all.

First time poster here, just picked up an '07 Tech Silver / Ebony CPO. Must say that the more time I spend in it, the more I love it!

When I first drove the X, I really liked the look of the "floating" needles. However, I have to say that in most times during the daytime, I can see the "clear" part pretty distinctly.

Has anyone swapped out needles to make them all red from the hub out?

Thanks!

I haven't been on here long, but I doubt anyone has done this.

I did test drive the new Volvo XC70 before buying the MDX, and they have a floating needle portion as well, but I believe it might be mounted on some sort of plastic disc that rotates, as you cannot see any sort of hub or spoke.

The Volvo needle is bent in the middle away from the dash, and the portion hides behind the display in the middle of the gauge, ala MB, Chrysler, etc.

Better solution than trying to be "invisible", IMO.

Figured this was a long shot, but you never know!
