So I happen to come across some insane deals on both sets of the wheels..
the Chrome look wheels have 2k miles of use on them and are FLAWLESS and the Sparkle silver 19s are brand new in the box
havent decided which to use on a Billet Silver tech 08 MDX
one of these sets of wheels will be for sale after i decide .. or possibly for trade for a set of Sport wheels and tires.

i would disagree with you that the sport wheels look better
i think the chrome rims dont look good on the silver.. but once the sparkle silver wheels go on it will look 100x times better
not to mention EVERYONE has the sport rims .. there is no exclusitivity with them ... where as the accessory wheels are a rare breed it seems.. obvis that is because of the price they demand.
that being said.. i would never spend even remotely close to retail for the 19s ..
i paid less for my sparkle silver 19s then you guys are paying for sport wheels.. so it was an easy decision to make regarding which to get :) |

and if you didnt read .. im getting RID OF THE CHROME ONES .. i have the same wheels but in sparkle silver as well
chrome dosent look good on silver which is why im not using them .. hence the reason for selling ... i only put them on to see what they would look like
but to be fair.. the chrome wheels look better on the darker colors like this black one
those look much better then the sport wheels on that black mdx.. but the comments posted are all opinion based .. what one person likes .. the other might not |

Sport rims rules! Silver is a pretty hard color to please with rims, IMHO. So far I've seen on the road, silver only looks decent with sport rims.

While I'm not a big fan of the OEM 19's, if I were sticking 'em on my silver X I'd definitely go with the sparkle finish -- chrome is definitely played out.
As for the Sport wheels, IMHO they're just about perfect: very purposeful and agressive, without resorting to gimmickry. And what's more, they're a breeze to clean; though thanks to their unique titanium finish they almost never need cleaning. As for their ubiquity, be honest here, how many Sport models do you actually see on the road? This was a banner weekend for me -- I saw one -- and that's out of the ten or so that I spied plying the highways and byways of southeastern Connecticut (yup, it looks like the secret's out -- the 2nd gens are finally on the map).

yes both wheels are 19"
Acura offers the Accessory wheels in two finishes . both of which i have
Sparkle Silver
and
Chrome Look
19x8.5 +45 offset is the wheel specs |

I also like the silver better, but chrome on your X doesn't look bad either.
I prefer the OEM 19s and OEM 18" 6-spoke better than the Sport wheels myself. I almost traded my Sport wheels for the OEM 6-spokes. But I purchased aftermarket black 19s instead and sold my Sport. Everyone has a different taste in wheels. But it's all about what you like. |
