Greetings!
I've posted a couple of hits here and there but I'm finally getting a chance to post my intro.
Just purchased a 2007 Tech CPO with 13,500 miles on it. Beautiful shape on the outside except for one curbed wheel. :3: However is wasn't enough to thwart me from buying it!
I've had it a week and so far liking it more and more each day. It's my daily driver for work...I'm a Civil Engineer working in Land Development and construction, so the X goes off road most every day. I'm the guy who ends up building them!
Coming from a 2002 Pathfinder LE that managed to rack up 135,000 miles in 3 years and 155,000 in just 5...the reduction over the last two is because my commute went from 180 miles / day down to two! The 'finder needs a timing belt, check engine light is on, the rear suspension has a clunk and it needs a complete set of fluid changes. I found a buyer willing to assume all of that and also wait until I found another car....talk about a perfect situation!
So the hunt was on. I had been looking at replacements for about 6 months and finally whittled it down to the Mazda CX-9. I really wanted the X, but my wife really didn't see the need to spend more money than on the Mazda. We get Mazda S plan pricing so I could have gotten the car at invoice. The CX-9 really is nice, but it's no Acura.
So after scouring the internet, looking for leftover 2007's and CPO's, and haggling, I finally found an MDX that was both right and the right price.
She's Billet Silver / Ebony and just about bone stock, save for a set of Black Weather Tech floor liners that just showed up today....an absolute must for my job. (Is it me, or are the MDX's mats really chintzy? I got brand new ones as part of my deal, and they're looking worn after a week!)
May I also add that I will never buy a car in Mass again if I'm living out of state. What a royal PITA, I mean, come on...who doesn't issue temp plates!?!?!
Enough about that, here are some pics that the dealer sent me. Haven't had a chance to take my own.
