| Tranny cooler line rusted at radiator connection and allowed the coolant and tranny fluid to mix. I tried flushing the coolant system, but need to know where the block drain is. The drawing in the owner's manual is not very clear. As much bad things I've heard about flushing the transmission, I think I have no choice as the drain and fill method will always leave coolant in the tranny. Any advice is appreciated. |

That sucks. How bad is the intermix? Might be worth to have it double flushed maybe by aamco transmissions or something.
What failed, the trans cooler inside the radiator? I don't see how a line itself can cause intermix. A line would only leak externally I would imagine. |

| The cooler inside the radiator failed. The coolant was pink, so it mixed pretty well. To add to the mess the PO must have used Stop Leak in the radiator. Now there is stop leak in the tranny. Do you know where the block drain is? |

I beleive it's in the front of the trans. It will be obvious which is the drain plug. This drain method will not work though. When you drain the trans, there will still be plenty of trans fluid in the torque converter.
Flushing is the best solution. |
