| Just got girlfriends 04 MDX back from bodyshop, Radio needs code. Tried the 1+6 thing no S/N # No books with this acura. Any help!! |

| You basically have to take the radio out and get the serial number and call Acura Customer Care for the code. If you can find out who the selling dealer is, you may be able to call them up and give them the VIN and they may have it in their database. |

Check the owner's manual. The selling dealer fills out a card that has the radio code on it, and sometimes he includes the card with the folder that contains the owner's manual.
If the body shop was part of the Acura dealer, they are suppose to write down the navi and radio codes, and also the radio presets, before they disconnect the battery. Any good shop will do the same.
Why should you have to pay for an error on their part? |

| I had the same problem and found the codes on asticker on the inside of my fuse box cover, under the hood. The dealership who originally sold the vehicle (not to me) told us that they put it there. It is a 5 digit code I think with numbers ranging from 1 through 6. THere were 5 or 6 six codes. I needed a code for my NAVI as well. GOOD LUCK. |

All factory radios spit out the SN. Radio off, push 1 and 6, turn on and you get U#### followed by L####. Dealer can get code from sn. |

2001 X Touring no nav 117k miles
I have a weird one: (out of nowhere)
Radio and center compass is not working
The security light is still blinks
You can eject disc's but not load
The buttons light up when you turn on the lights
But the radio does not go on and the compass screen doesn't light up nor can you control the fan speed.
The heat/ac still works through the auto feature.
