Hi there, new member, but not new to Honda's products :)

Anyway, for the new 07/08 owners, do you have any rattles, primarily interior ? Like plastic parts-rattle or leather-creaking noises ? It drives me crazy on my current ride (05 Ody), and wonder if Honda did a more decent job on the MDX interior quality-wise ???

My nick name on the odyclub.com is "rattle killer", as I had to put in over 2 dozen different fixes to eliminate most of the noise...

Hey, fellow OdyClub member. I saw your comprehensive new Ody checklist late so didn't get a chance to implement it when I bought mine.

I have an 07 Ody Touring R&N and haven't really appreciated any major rattles. Compared to the Ody though, my 07 X is pretty quiet. Acura did a good job isolating road and wind noise. The only rattle I've heard so far is my overloaded keychain against the ignition/lower dash. There have been some reports of excessive wind noise/whistle but I only hear this on mine above 85 mph. At that point, I just turn up the DVD-A and enjoy the ride.:)

Are you buying an MDX?

While I haven't noticed any rattles or squeeks, I would like to point out that the 07 is much, much quieter than the 01.

As quite as a bank vault.

I also noticed major insulation in the front fenders.

And how can you expect ust to notice squeeks or rattles with the ELS Stereo cranking away.... :roadtrip: :roadtrip:

I'm at about 3200 miles (a mix of NYC potholes and relatively smooth highways) and so far my interior is as tight as a drum.

How is the alignment/tightness of the steering wheel so far ?

No rattles or squeaks in mine after 6,000 miles.

I did have the clicking, or popping, sound from the control arm issue, but once they fixed that, the car went silent again.

Steering is tight as a drum ... maybe a tiny bit too tight, ;)

So far it's perfect. Great on-center feel, and no play.

Hmmm... I have a tech/ent and the DVD LCD display unit rattles and squeaks. Checking other MDX's with the dealer it seems that the part is inherently noisy (the plastic squeaks loudly any time you touch the back of the display or rotate it on the hinge) and I don't think replacing the part will help.

I'm quite suprised there haven't been more complaints and that ACURA has not issued a revised part.

Generally, the interior fit and finish on my MDX is remarkably and suprisingly poor.

I have the same rattle problem with my 07 MDX Ent/Tech 3000miles. Not so sure where the noise comes from, probably from the sunroof, from the doors or from the DVD player... Anyway, the noise really drives me "nuts". Eventhough I hate to deal with the car dealers but I definitely bring my car back to them within a couple days. Hopefully this time they will be able to figure out the problem. Wish me luck!

I had a rattle from the glove box or behind the glove box that got progressively louder. I only have 8500 miles so I brougt it to the dealer expecting them to say they could not replicate the noise. Much to my surprise, they determined it was the glove box itself that was causing the problem and replaced the entire box. This solved the problem.
I also asked them to fix the popping sound from the sound system when starting in the morning. They claim they have only heard of one other with that problem but did say there was a TSB coming out and when they receive it they will do the necessary repair. There are numerous replies on this sight that point to a program change with a new DVD disc but they say they do not have it yet. I will wait.
