My '07 MDX is going wonky on me..

Can anyone confirm what I have discovered?

Let me tell my problems and what I found.

Sound setting gets reset to 0:

I reported this problem sometime ago. At random, my treble,bass..etc gets reset to 0. I ONLY use 1 KEYFOB to unlock and lock my MDX. After some researching on the forum, I soon found that some 07 MDX owners having the same problem. One suggested that it might be a faulty memory module problem (what is that)? I soon found that someone also reported they lost radio settings (I haven't seen this yet on my MDX). One owner actually went to the dealership and got his entire stereo system replace.. that didn't help. - THIS problem has not yet been resolved.

Trip A Odometer reset to 0;

I recently found this problem when I started up my MDX one morning Trip A = 0. I know when you fill up your X or if the gas lip is open, you have an option to set your Trip A to automatically reset . Or you can manually reset it by holding down the Command button on your steering wheel - this I know. My X just reset itself without me doing the above 2 methods. I did noticed that TRIP B did not get affected at all.. tested this out already.
- THIS problem has not yet been resolved.

Seriously, my dealership is going to think I'm nut when I am going to explain this to them... ... This is not a big issue for me but it's damn annoying!!!!

the memory module is the module that handles all of the memory functions for the seats, radio settings, mirrors, etc. I would have acura check that out. The faulty memory module may be related to the trip A being reset.

I'm starting to wonder if this is a Base-only problem. Yes, I've had some weirdness go down on my X, but it was due to the key fobs crossing their wires, so to speak. Locking and unlocking the car with the correct key always restores the settings. What's being described here definitely has something to do with the memory module, since the settings aren't subsequently being recovered.

True! .... BUT, if the memory module is at fault, how come my radio station preset or seat memory, side mirrors does not get reset? Does the X have separate memory module for each component?

I have a 2007 Tech/Ent and also have noticed the Trip Odometer A only resetting to zero for no apparent reason. It usually happens after about a week since the last gas fill up. I'll mention it to the dealer when I go for my first service.
I haven't noticed any problems with the sound setting but will keep on eye on it.

I have had all of my radio settings reset twice now and I was so perplexed. LOL!

I will one up you - all of my windows roll down an inch when I hit the LOCK button on the remote three times. The dealer can't figure that one out at all but it is very convenient when it is warm out. ;)

I have a 2008 MDX and three times over the past 4 weeks the bass, treble, etc. settings reset to "C" or center. All other memory settings (presets, mirrors, etc.) are fine. I only use 1 key also.

Has anyone figured out what the problem was with the 2007s?

Yeah, I think there was a posting on one of the forums here, I can't remember which one.

Anyways, the forums mentioned that Acura are aware of the situation. I believe they are fixing the problem as we speak. You might want to talk to your dealership.

I haven't gotten my fixed yet, but I will bring it in for the next oil change and demand the fix..
