I just returned from a brief trip to the Southeast and was impressed with how many '07/08 MDX's I saw while driving the local highways and byways. Saturday morning, I drove 150 miles of low traffic interstate and saw half a dozen new "X's" during that time.

I live in Southern California where I do quite a bit of driving between metropolitan areas and I rarely see the new "X" when I travel our local interstates. And our traffic volumes are pretty darn high. I do see many first generation "X's" on the road here however. Just not many second gen "X's".

Has anyone else noticed regional differences in buying the new "X"?

I pay absolutely no attention.

I can't say anything about the west coast, but here in the Northeast the 2nd gens are starting to gain a foothold. To wit, I saw about ten of 'em last weekend (of course I saw about a million 1st gens).

This past September I drove to SoCal from NorCal and saw at least 15+ 2nd gen MDX's on I-5. Could not keep track of how many 1st gen's I saw (many)....

In Michigan I think I have seen 2 since i have been here (1yr) :( ...but in Long Island NY where I was before there was one everywhere I went... I saw them like crazy ...all different colors etc. :)... that's how I first started liking them.

Recently came back from Nevada (mainly Vegas) & San Diego (CA). Surprising I've seen only a handful of the new X during the course of 7 days trip. On the other hand, tons & tons after tons of 1st gen Xs & Lexus RXs.

... Still a low number of 2nd X in SoCal I guess. :1:
