My study dealer can't fix it and said your mdx not suppose to be speeding at 70MPH in Seattle.

Everyone with whistle please call Acura Client Service at 1-800-382-2238

They need to get this problem on the TSB!!

I experienced this for the first time today. Happened at 75 mph (not a rare occurance for me) but heavy crosswinds.

Is this common? Never searched for it before.

I've reported the problem in Portland
(not quite in Seattle, but I have the similar speed constraints.)

I notice the whistle during my road trip from Portland to CA. The dealer said it was the first time they heard about the whistle in Portland, but they did find it documented. They fix the problem, but I haven't a chance to really tested it out yet.

Lots of people reported here about the whistle, but none from the Northwest. You can hear the whistle really well if you crack the window down around 60+mph. I reported this to the dealer and they said they never heard of it before.

The mechanic said he might have hearing problem. When he did hear the whistle at 75mph, he said I was speeding and he can't fix it. What a jerk! This is at Acura of Seattle.

I notice when I get head wind or cross wind the whistle is the loudest. If you have the sunroof open at 65mph, you can have fun with the recirculation button playing with the whistle.

Which dealer in Portland did you report the whistle?

I have the whistle too!!! Only from 45 to 60 mph. With all the windows closed. It is so annoying. I was going to tell Acura about it next time i went in for service. But im sure they will tell me they didnt hear anything after they drove it. Not sure what to do about it.

Not sure if I have the same whistle, but I have the whistle coming from my roof rack/cross bar assembly. I have had my 07 in 3 times and they cannot fix. When the tech took off the crossbars..no noise. He reinstalled the crossbars and whistling noise is back. My dealership contacted the Acura Techline in CA, they said it was a known problem and cannot be fixed. Something about the engineering of the crossbars and air turbulence. I have filed a case with Acura Cust. Relations and am asking for full refund of the entire roof rack cost.
If your whistle is coming from the roof area its probably this problem if you have the crossbars. Hope this helps out.

Mine sounds like it is coming from the drivers side somewhere. Not the back, like around the drivers door to the front wheel somewhere. Maybe the rails cause i do have those. It really bothers me. But only from 45 to 60 mph. When can you hear your whistle?

Exactly in that speed range depending on wind direction. 44-55mph. Mine sounded like it was definitely above and behind me though.

I hear the whistle now and again. I only have roof rails. It feels like it coming from the top corner where the rails are. Odd thing is it doesnt happen all the time with or without recirculation on. I think it may depend on the crosswinds on the highway. I will have them maybe reseal when I bring it in for the first oil change.

have them remove the crossbars and ride with them, if the noise goes away you know its the crossbars causing the turbulence.
Acrua pretty much admitted to me it is a faulty design in the crossbars that cause the noise.
