2007 & 2008 MDX, Tech/Entertainment, with the same accessories, priced nearly the same, from different dealers.....
How much less, for the 2007, would be a fair offer?
Thanks |

When I was shopping for my '07, I wasn't getting much better deals on '07's than I was '08's. I had 3 dealers willing to give me invoice +500 on '08 Techs, and I couldn't get anyone under invoice for an '07. |

For such a small difference, then why would anyone buy a 2007? |

$2500-$3000 would do it for me. Anything less wouldn't be worth it.
If people are getting $500-$1000 over invoice for the '08 that would mean ~$2000 below invoice for the '07. Not sure if any dealers would go that low on a 'new' '07, but I think that would be the tipping point. |

| I wandered into the Acura dealer with very good intensions of getting a smoking deal on one of their last remaining 07's, and at the end of the day, I drove home with a 08! |

I agree completely. If they aren't practically giving you an 07 at this point, there is no reason not to get an 08. I would say that $3000 +or- a few hundred, has to be the difference. Anything less, get an 08, it is worth it in the resale market. |

| I just picked up an 07 MDX Sport. We got the car for just below invoice with a roof rack and cross bars thrown in as part of the deal. One more reason to get the 07 was that we got 2.9% financing for 3 years. I agree with the other folks that if the price for the 07 and 08 is just about the same, go for the 08. If nothing else when you sell the car you will have a car that is one model year newer, which means you will get more money for it. |

I understand from acura.com that there is 2.9% financing for the 2008 MDX for 2-3 yrs too. |

2007 MDX's have either 2.9 or 4.9 financing OR up to $2500.00 dealer incentive. It is true that 2008 models have this financing for at least the month of November.
With $2500 dealer incentive, you should go for quite a chunk under invoice. |

I am so PO'd about this. Here I was beating the snot out of dealers to get deals done before 10/31, and they have $2,500 in cash waiting next month. Grrrrrrrrrrr. If I had known this, I wouldn't have gone the CPO route, just ponied up the couple extra thou on a new '07 vs. CPO. Oh well, at least I've got extra warranty! |
