Maybe I'm just being stupid, but I can't figure out how to pause or stop a CD or DVD-Audio in my 08 MDX w/ Entertainment package.
Other than switching to AUX or turning the whole thing off there doesn't seem to be a control for this.
Any ideas? |

What's wrong with turning it off? It'll come back to the same spot.

The use case is this: I'm trying to play a DVD video through the rear flip-down screen and have the sound ONLY come through the headphones w/ no audio source playing on the speakers.
So far, I can only get either the DVD's audio track or whatever sound source is switched (XM, CD/DVD, AUX) coming through the speakers. There doesn't seem to be a way to have the speakers OFF but the DVD player ON. |

The headphones will turn on and play whatever is on the RES (be it DVD video, CD or whatever) no matter what you're listening to up front. |

Try pressing the corresponding disc number button. That should pause the cd/dvd-a.

That'll work too. |

Ah, well that's not quite what you originally asked. ;) |

I noticed that too.
Since you can't turn off the audio upfront without also turning off the DVD, make sure the Rear Power is on (DVD will be playing), then switch to a different mode (eg AUX) that does not have any audio (or you can simply turn down the volume all the way). I know, it's a bit of a workaround but it should get the speakers off and the DVD still playing. |

Thanks everyone for the responses - I think I now have two decent options.
1. Switch to AUX or another "blank" source
2. Go to 6-disc and press the corresponding disc # button to "pause" the disc |
