I just checked out the 2009 nissan murano available jan 2008,
it looks pretty cool, gas mileage is way better at 20/24
It also has features MISSING in the x such as
1.rain sensing wipers
2. intelligent key
3.18" and 20" tires available
No pricing though, i would assume a loaded one would top out at about 40k, looks like it could give the mdx a run for the money. |

| I don't know. It still looks like a 5 seater, less hp, etc. I don't see it being any more of a competitor than it is now. If I was looking at a Murano, I would definitely wait to see what the new Pilot has next year. $.02. |

Ditto.
The Murano restyle is just a restyle...same chassis / platform, same engine, different trans (still a CVT). It's small, smaller than my old Pathfinder. I looked at these hard when my Pathfinder was being lemoned, and they're nice, but not an MDX competitor. More of an RDX competitor. It slots in between in terms of size, but it's still only a 5 seater and tight on cargo room. |

Different class entirely, and what's more, it's absolutely hideous (of course, many feel the same way about our beloved MDXs...). I don't see a lot of cross-shopping here, though I suppose someone looking at a loaded-to-the-gills Murano might also take a peek at a Base MDX. Maybe.
I actually liked the 1st generation Murano, but the new one does absolutely nothing for me -- at least on the outside. However, I'll give credit where credit is due, and say that the interior is much improved over the original (though it would've been hard to make it worse).
Regards,
