Two things are driving me a bit nutty on my 2007 X.
1. At startup, and only cold startup, I hear a "pop" that seemingly comes from my speakers when the engine catches and the starter releases. I searched through the TSB's and haven't seen anything similar.
2. XM nav traffic...I am having issues with this. I do not live in an area that normally shows traffic flows, but I noted that when I asked to show traffic incidents, I would get incidents shown locally (I am in an incident zone but not a flow zone) and all the way down to NYC (up to 60 miles away from what I remember).
Lately, however, every time I pulled up info, I got "there is no traffic information available within 30 miles". This kept going on for almost a week, and I noted that even when going down to lower Westchester, inside of 20 miles from NYC and within a flow zone, I still got the same message.
Now, I have started seeing that the "traffic information" option on the map menu is sometimes grayed out! The final straw was on Saturday when I was IN Manhattan, the selection was grayed out.
In all cases, I have had XM Music reception. I saw the TSB and went through the checks that I could in the diagnostics menu. Everything is set properly.
Any advice? Anything I should tell the dealer when I go in? |

Needsdecaf,
Check out this thread. I know there is a known issue with the pop you are referring to in #1.
