Just bought a new 2008 Black Tech package MDX.
Was quoted $40,902 over the internet, went to a local dealer and they matched it, no questions asked.
Hopefully I got a reasonable deal. It's well below the sticker price.
Just thought I'd put it out there in case any of you are in the market and want to know latest prices.

Good deal Ed. I have been quoted some pretty good prices just by test driving a vehicle and letting the dealer know I wouldn't be purchasing for a few weeks. It seems they can't let you leave without blurting out a quote. I was planning to go back to the dealer next week and get him as close to invoice as I possibly can. I am looking for the sports/entertainment package. I would be interested in knowing how you got the internet quote.
Thanks
Dave (near San Jose) |

I went to Carsdirect.com, speced up what I was looking for, and then asked local dealers to send me their quotes over email.
Stevens Creek sent the lowest online quote, but Los Gatos Acura matched it |

I am currently in negotiations with an Acura dealer for an MDX. The price is substantially better than I have seen out there. However, I have noticed that dealers with large inventories are ordering more vehicles. The current 2.9/4.9% financing deals end November 30. I am thinking that there must be another incentive package coming in soon. I could not imagine that Acura would not offer an incentive package for the month of December.
What do you guys thinks. Will there be another deal offered soon for the MDX?

They will probably bring back a good apr/financing as they have been doing ...don't know if they will have a cash back on the 08s as they did with the 07s but who knows ...they will probably come out with a good leasing package also. |

That's a great deal. I can't believe how cheap your tax and license are. I plan to pay at least $3500 on tax and another 2-3k in license fees out here in California. Is that about what you paid Ed?

| The factory to dealer $2500 "marketing support" ended 11/30 on the '07's. Anyone have any info on whether or not there will be a new incentive anytime soon? Haven't scored an '07 yet (still shopping) but if there's no new incentive my price just went up! |

We had no such incentives here in California. However, I have just heard from my dealer that the 2.9/3year and 4.9/5 year financing incentives had been extended until 12/15/07. I have seen other dealer websites claim that it was extended until 1/2/08. I believe National Acura has no MDX incentives posted on their site. |

| Just saying also something I noticed.... on Edmunds the price has gone back up under the "TMV what others are paying" column on the 07s...it was $41,396 or so before on the 07s in November now it has raised back up to $42,960 since the 2500 factory to dealer has gone. This price doesn't include tax..tags etc. but it's actually gone up within the last few days which surprised me since it's on a model year that is going out to make way for the 08. I guess the rebate really made a big difference at the time it was there. |

| Most dealers don't have 07 in stock for a long time. |
|
|

| ^ In michigan there are 07s still on the lots in the detroit area ...but the sport is hard to find...there are quite a bit of tech, tech/ent and base models still available. I'm still getting e-mails from dealers even though I picked up mine last week ...down point of doing internet shopping prior to going in ..but the price paid made up for me filtering through the ads and "have you bought a mdx yet" e-mails :) |

tint ??? ...don't they all have tint ...unless you're talking just about the front 2 windows are tinted... the other stuff are add-ons for sure BSM, WLocks etc.....but I saw you mentioned tint and wanted to make sure you knew that was standard. You never know what b.s. some dealers try. |

| Complete car tint. It's the dealer's package, what they add to the car. Forgot to mention Door Edge Guards. Everything is installed. |

| Just purchased my tech/enter last week in Houston, drove 5 hours each way to purchase as it saved me over $6000 on the best "deal" offered by my local dealer on the new purchase and trade in. There are 4 Acura dealers in Houston alone, only 3 in my entire state, Lousiana. I paid about $100 over invoice, and got much more for my trade in. |

Check out the deal this guy got on an '08 Tech/Ent, posted on Edmunds (post #5786):
After 3 months of going back and forth with every dealer in New Jersey, and reading all the reports on here, I just picked up my Tech/Ent from Springfield Acura, Calvin was my Salesman...BRAVO he did an EXCELLENT job just like everyone said.
Paid $41,682 plus my taxes and fees and got the roof racks and cross bars ($650), Crome Running Boards ($725), All Weather Mats ($150).

The $2500 factory to dealer incentive was continued through 1/02/08 on all '07 MDX.
Restrictions: $2500 Dealer Cash may not be combined with 2.9% APR - 4.9 % APR and vehicle must be financed through the manufacturer's captive finance company.
Comments: Dealer participation may vary. Incentives and Rebates are provided subject to the terms of our Visitor Agreement.
In my region (NJ/PA/DE/MD/N VA) dealers have remaining Sport and Sport/Ent but the base and Tech models are gone... |

I have just purchased a 2008 white Mdx tech/ent with parchment interior. Got it for $43,300 here in California which means I paid about $47,600 out the door. I should have moved faster on a sports/ent pkg earlier last month. At that time the dealer was offering me $43,999 for the sports/ent pkg. However, now here in California there are very little sports/ent pkgs and none in the Bayarea in red or white, the colors we wanted.
In any case we got the 2.9% financing which we were happy about and in general we love the car.
