Recently got a chance to take a road trip to TN to look for mountain property.

The X did wonderful on the trip, averaged 24.1 (70-75mph) with a best of 25.2 and a 23.0 worst for the 2000+ mile trip. The Sport mode and SH-AWD were outstanding on the mountain back roads of TN. The X has tons of power on the interstate and rarely had to down shift on incline while in cruise. The Navi and XM both worked well and would never buy another vehicle without them.

Miles to date is 4000, no problems. Need to get it in for those two well known interior trim issues and the "pop on start" radio noise problem.

Loyal Honda guy since 1980!

Cool. The X is a nice road trip vehicle. What's the deal with all those 07 Honda vehicles in your stable? You're making the Honda sales people happy this Christmas?

Just got back from Venice Fl. from New Jersey in my 2007 MDX 3,000 when I started now over 6,000 and a great trip 80 mph 10 hours a day and not one complant. 21.5 mpg at 80 is fine. The nav I did not want ( it was the only MDX with the color I wanted ) I bought anyway and is the best option on the car. I have been driving Cadillacs and Lincolns all my life but this car is the best road trip car I have ever owned. Joekids

My 2007 MDX Sport/Tech has over 16,000 mile accumulated since purchase in January. It has been on two 3500+ mile trips which combined Interstate cruising and two lanes through the mountains in Oregon. As others have said, it is among the best vehicles for such trips around.

Plenty of power, even when running air conditioning, reasonable gas mileage (21 or better) even though we did lots of 80-85mph driving on Interstates. The Navi system is absolutely wonderful for finding places in new areas as well as counting down the miles and ETA on long Interstate stretches. I5 from LA to Sacramento is fast, but oh so boring. XM and iPod connector make for some varied entertainment when doing it alone.

Handling on curvy roads and wet roads is so good. It really rivals my wife's BMW.
