One more in the long list. I bought a used MDX a year ago, a week ago at 87k the transmission was gone. It started slippin and the check engine came on along with flashing D5.
I took it to the dealer, I had never had it serviced at this or any other dealer, had all maint. done with local mechanic. I told the dealer that I knew about the tranny problems and I was looking for Acura to cover the cost. I got a call from the dealer a few hours later to inform me that Acura was taking care of both parts and labor.
I am glad I found this forum! |

| This is what gripes the heck out of me with Honda/Acura's arbitrary handling of complaints on their lousy trannys. My kid's '03 Accord went out at 105K. He's the original owner. They paid for 25%. The Accords have had the same tranny issues as the Acuras. Guess I shouldn't complain about getting 25% but I still have issues with their totally arbitrary handling of these claims. |

By the way, when they replace the tranny, is the tranny covered by ome sort of extended warranty?
Acura dealser told me they (the dealer) warranties parts and labor for 1/12k |
