Strange that you should ask at this time.
Just yesterday I went to my dealer to see how to remove the rear wiper blade assembly. Nobody there had done that so one of the mechanics tried to see if it could be removed. The conclusion was that all you can do is replace the rubber insert.
What a POOR design!!!
That "plastic sleeve" is part of the assembly.

how hard is it to replace the rubber insert? andm moron can do it, even a salesman or a soccer mom,
and why would you put a different arm on tehre anyway?? the factory one is the best one going, plus it onyl 5 bucks for the insert |

A person who would ask that question obviously has no knowledge about the quality of wiper blades. You need to check with one of your soccer mom's to find about why there is a need to get a better blade.

Ignore Colton. He's the one who suggested a Bosch Icon when some wanted recommendations on a rear wiper, when in fact you can't put an Icon back there.
The OEM refills perform as well as Bosch Micro Edge wipers, at least over a couple seasons out here, which is good enough for most people. |

I used a triple edge silicone blade insert and it works AWESOME. I never had much success with them on the front....lots of chatter....but they work MUCH better in the back, likely because the back glass doesn't get chewed up like the front windshield does from road debris. Triple edge blades seem to need really smooth glass or they will chatter. As far as running the numbers, the Triple edge will also last virtually forever on the tail gate glass and fits the frame perfectly.
It actually performs like in the TV commercial says it should, with one wipe cycle being all it needs to clear the glass and moves smoothly and quietly.
You can find the triple edge at wal-mart for like 6 bucks. |

| Just measure it with a ruler. You can also slide out the old one and bring it to the wiper store with you and compare its size with a new one. Just tryin' to help. Good luck!! |
