I am contemplating the purchase of the sport sidesteps from Hondacuraworld - the Shipping is $135 + UPS brokerage fee ...now I hate UPS with a passion, considering USPS has delivered every single time, without such a fee, but Hondacuraworld doesn't seem to want to use USPS...
Anyone know how much UPS charges for their fee?
Tnx. |

Are you sure Hondacuraworld charges shipping? I bought a bunch of stuff from them for my 2004 and 2007 MDX and only paid $3 for handling charges.
Plus, Tim at Hondacuraworld advertise free shipping.
Might want to check into it.

Tim,
..just wondering why Hondacuraworld doesn't want to use USPS? They offer tracking, etc. for parcels and usually cost quite a bit less than UPS / FedEx... |

Several factors:
1. Size limitations. I can't ship large boxes that way.
2. Tracking. The tracking for USPS, sucks. It shows that a package is out, or that it's been delivered, but not when it will arrive or where it is.
3. Damage claims. They are IMPOSSIBLE to get paid.
4. Customer complaints of long delivery times and very little I can do about this. Then, we get people stating that they are going to call their credit card companies and dispute charges when I say frankly I don't know when the package will get there, but here's the tracking info. Not good enough.
5. Customers wanting things declared as a gift or a warranty replacement part. Most of those inquiries come from Vancouver, I have no idea why. |

Now it makes perfect sense - thanks for the prompt response :-)
Since the Acura dealer here wants $1120 for the sport sidesteps (taxes in), I can still save several $100 by purchasing through you - so, unless the dealer happens to throw a _good_ deal my way this afternoon when I pick up my Tech, you'll have an order coming in before too long. |

I bought alot of my accessories via Curry Acura (do a google search).
They do ship via UPS. |

I placed a significant order from HondaAccuraWorld a few weeks ago. The order arrived in Montreal without issue .
My net dollar savings (taxes, duties, etc) was in the range of 40% from what the canadian dealers wanted.
I will be ordering from them again in the future. |
