I know I am not alone with the belt/leather issue.
Since Acura re-leathered my front seat I went ahead and ordred custom seat covers from a local shop since Acura doesn't have them out yet.
Just canvas material with the Acura emblem.
Since they took all the measurements and had to make this custom, they will now have the template and can probably make them for anyone now. If you are interested, I'll post pics once they're done and give you the info. I paid $125/pair and they will make them so the side airbag can open through the cover.
Just a thought as it may help you out. I'm going to continue to wear my black belt and without covers, the seat will get destroyed again. Mine was bad. Service manager at my dealer told me he will keep re-leathering the seat as long as I'm under warranty but that is crazy, once every 3 months I have to go in for new leather? Rather just cover the seats :) |

Sure you can't just go pantsless to avoid all this?
Seriously, it would be interesting to see what your custom shop comes up with. Honda has never recommended seat covers for the front, and I believe it is only with the 2008 Odyssey that they introduced OEM rear seat covers, probably due to requests from tired parents. |

Why would you buy a vehicle with leather uphosltry and then put seat covers over the leather. For whom are you protecting the leather? The next owner?????

for me, on a $40k car, I don't want rips and black all over the tan colored leather. and yes, it probably doesn't hurt re-sale value as I will only keep this for about 40k miles, need to at least be in good shape, not ragged out leather discolored and ripped!
I'm sure lots of people use seat covers, maybe if Acura wasn't so cheap in this department, I wouldn't need them!!!!!!
but the leather sucks in the X, that is why!
