I just took my x in for the differential change, I had been hearing a
slight hollow knocking sound whenever I would either brake or accelerate from a stop, the dealer retorqued every bolt underneath the vehicle, I did mention to the service manager that some people on this forum had their lower control arms and bushings replaced and it seemed to solve their problem. The dealer ordered these parts but I am having second thoughts about them changing
anything that has to do with the front suspension, my X drives
straight as an arrow, no vibrations or unusual tire wear, I have already gotten used to the occasional sound much like the gas tank
slosh I had on my 2005. Would other people feel the same way as to
"deal" with the noise or take a chance the dealer would screw up the front suspension with no guarantee that this would solve the issue? |

| Me personally, I could deal with that type of noise. But if its really bothering you or fairly loud, its definitely worth getting it fixed now. You never know how long they will hold the truck for. It could take a few days, it could take weeks. Its their job to fix these things, so if the noise persists let them figure it out. |

| I just had mine fixed over the popping noise issue. It took my dealer 22 days to order and replace both front lower control arms. I also had the audio system popping sound fixed with a new amplifier. I drove the RDX as a loaner for all this time and I actually love the RDX now. It's much more agile and responsive but not as quiet and tight than the X. And the paddle shift was a blast to play with. But comparing with other potential rivals (X3, LR2, etc.), it's well worth the money. However, sales figures of RDX was a miss to a point that RDX is the official loaner car of Acura now. |
