| So “someone” got a bit too close to a curb and scraped the edge of the mag wheel about ¼” by 4” where the tire meets the rim. I’d like to smooth it out and polish if possible. Would a Dremel tool and progressive grinding wheels followed by a polishing bit do the trick? Any experience out there? |

Depending upon how deep the scrape is you should be able to do a sufficiently good job that no one could tell at a distance. Just be very careful that you do not remove any more material than necessary. I would use polishing cream at the finish.

| I bought a spare that came with some scratches. I was using a buffer to get them out but it was taking forever. I tried a dremmel. Melted the clear coat which is unrecoverable. It can be done but requires a LOT of precision and control. Stick with some elbow grease or a buffer. |
