Mahogany touring for sale - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hello all. I purchased a Mahogany/beige touring package in June of this year. My wife and I now have a baby on the way, and a new house and nursery furniture are a bit higher in priority than an MDX.

So regretfully I am selling the MDX. As I said, it is a mahogany/beige touring non-nav. I have driven about 7,200 miles so far. The car has no scratches and has given me no trouble. I did add the factory splash guards and running boards, but no other options. The local dealership can attest to its condition and to the way I care for vehicles in general. I have purchased many from them.

If you are interested or have any questions, reply here or email me at glengle@mindspring.com. I am asking $37,500 o.b.o. which is a bit less than MSRP for vehicle, options, etc, but keeps me from losing my shirt hopefully. :)

JPOG,

While it may be a bit sad to be giving up your MDX, there's nothing like "trading up" to a new baby. Congratulations to you and your wife on your upcoming event!

Many thanks. We are very blessed and very excited about our baby girl. It is our first, after 7+ years of marriage, so life as we know it is about to change forever.

Definitely for the better, though. I will be one proud papa. :D

... love the color;)

We have three kids and you are right, live is changing forever; and for the better.

Good luck with the car sale. Let us know how well you did. Everyone is always interestred in resale values.

Yup, changes abound. We drove to Nashville today in search of bedding, clothing, car seats, strollers, blankets, etc... Fortunately the furniture is purchased.

I will be sure to let everyone know how the sale goes. I've had a good bit of interest, just waiting for the person who wants to actually purchase it. :D

Thanks for the support as I make a bit of a sacrifice.

Wow. I'm always in awe of those who become parents. I have a few friends from college who now have one or more children, and I still feel challenged to get myself up and to work, let alone taking care of a child. But I know being a parent must be an awesome experience.
JPOG
Man, I am ready to be a dad, but can't imagine it at the same time. Being a parent is already awesome, and she hasn't arrived yet. I will be one proud, protective papa.

As for the MDX, if anyone knows someone who might want it for $37,000 firrm, let em know. I would really like to move on to other things and not have this hanging over my head.

By the way, I've read of the thump, and don't necessarily know what it is. Since I put the hyphen in anal-retentive, I assume my MDX doesn't have that problem.

Thanks again for your support, all.

... advertise a "thud-less" MDX for sale that has had zero children in the backseat;)

Now all we want to know is do the mirrors "weep"?:p

Once again good luck.

Sorry to ruin everyone's dream, but the mirrors do tear up after a good wash.

Nothing a little Finish Fast won't cure, though. :D

So far, nobody has purchased the MDX. I've had several folks look at it seriously, including one local woman today. One nice guy who evidently reads this forum expressed interest all the way from MN. The logistics of getting it there was a bit of a stretch it seems. A one-way ticket is $266, then it's a 19-hour drive.

Oh well, my wife is patient as the land that we are interested in also has yet to sell. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

... you can say that the mirrors are "weeping tears of sorrow" as it has to leave its owners loving care.

You know I am teasing;)
I am sure you will get a buyer, it is a hot seller as you well know. The current wait is into Jan/Feb for new orders.

Just wanted to let you folks know that my MDX is still for sale. If anyone is interested, send your (reasonable :D) replies to me here or in email. The baby will be here in December, and the MDX really doesn't need to be. Thanks all,

I'm thinking about buying an MDX. Kind of like the white new one coming out. But, where do you live? I am in the Santa Cruz area in CA. Please call me on my cell to discuss price and possibilities. (831) 247-4634.

Thanks. Congratulations on the baby coming. I have 2 that are in the teen age range.

Gary,

Thanks for the interest. As I mentioned in our phone conversation (and for the benefit of the other folks on the board), the MDX has just turned 10K miles, and I have dropped the price to $36,000. I understand CA to AL is a bit of a logistical nightmare, so good luck with your white one. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
