Guys:
Had something strange happen to me starting Saturday. I have a few DVDR's burned and playing in the car. Saturday I burned a new one and put it in the car, and it played fine. I ended up not really playing it as my wife wanted to listen to the XM holiday stations (can you say repeat!) on our trip.
Sunday I go to get in the car and play my new disc. Well after about 30 seconds of trying to "read disc" it ejected it saying "bad disc". Strange, since it played the day before. I tried cleaning it and re-insterting it, same thing. Tried turning the car off, and re-inserting and this time it played.
It did the same thing to me again later in the day and again this morning. The strangest part is that a disc that I have been playing for about 3 weeks perfectly fine without problem is now behaving the same way...being ejected with "bad disc" as the info.
I searched but what I came up with really related to the "eject when you open the door" problem.
Anyone? |

Had this problem once with another vehicle ...it was due to the cd not going into the read spot properly ...it was slightly tilted due to a rubber belt in the deck getting slightly warped ...it happens.. so the cd when being engaged for spin up to read was slightly tilted hence the error reading ...sometimes it falls right sometimes it doesn't ..luck of the draw ..sometimes it worked for a day ..somtimes for a week before i got the error flashing on the screen.
The fix was an entire deck replacement since they don't open the deck and replace the belts at dealerships...warranty worked once again here. Good luck. |
