Hi Everybody,
I have a two week old 2008 MDX Tech/Ent. My wife noticed a rattle on the passenger side of the dashboard. Kind of a slight clicking rattle noise.
Its slight but definitely noticeable. Also, when you open the glove box it becomes more pronounced.
I am going to the dealer this week to get that checked out. Good opportunity to fume at the salesman for fun....
Just wanted to see if anybody experienced this. |

| My 08 MDX had the same issue - dashboard cracking sound due to a loose dash board and the service tech was not able to locate the noise source. They ended up tightening all parts on the passenger side dashboard and the noise is gone when I got my car back. Hopefully they will fix this for you. |

| I had the same issue with my 07 X. The dealer replaced my glove box and the rattle has certainly lessened but has not completely gone away. I will wait until it becomes a little more pronounced and bring it back. |

| I have an 08 X and a week old, picked it up last Saturday and it has 200 miles on it. I have a rattle in the glove compartment that I have isolated to the left hand side of the inside of the glove box. I am taking it back to the dealer to get it checked out in a few days but it is something that I would expect not to happen on a vehicle of this stature. |

My rattle has become more pronounced. Its in the upper right hand corner of the glovebox area.
Going to the dealer on January 2nd. They were pretty upset and were going to take me in sooner but I want to enjoy the holidays..
I will update everybody on the fix, hopefully its either a replacement or tighten something back there. |

| An update on my rattle. It started relatively lightly at about 300 miles then has increased in volume and now is really noticeable. I now have 1200 miles on the 08 MDX and the rattle is coming from the front right glove box, passenger dash/door area. Seems to be more pronounced when vehicle is cold but still there when it is warm. Getting so loud that I can almost hear it over the stereo and heater. I am going to take it into the dealer on Jan 2nd but was wondering if anyone else has noticed this on a 07 or 08 with this many miles? It sounds like metal on metal the way it vibrates but it is not related to the glove box as I leave it open and the noise seems to be coming from behind it or to the right of it. |
