I think that the rear stabilizer bar on the sport model is 27mm, whereas the non-sport models have 25mm. Just wondering if it might be a worthwhile upgrade for $70 to install on my non-sport MDX.
I've installed aftermarket Hotchkis H-sport Audi S4 sway bars on my A4, and it made a significant improvement in handling, but I don't think there will ever be any aftermarket sways for the MDX. |

| Not sure if there is going to be any noticeable difference on the X. I upgraded the sways on my TL and the difference was very noticeable. On the TL, The increase of the rear was from 18 mm to 22 mm and the rubber bushings were replaced with polyurethane. On the MDX, if you do the upgrade you might as well spring for some new poly bushings too. |

That has to be a typo. The 2008 printed brochure and the info in the Acura Owner Link site has the sway bar of the Sport as thicker than the non-Sport.
From 2007 MDX Sport/Ent Owner Link...
Chassis
Stabilizer Bar (front/rear): 24.0 mm / 27.2 mm |

Yes, the Acura website has the stabilizer bar set for;
Sport - 23mm Front/24.2mm Rear
Non-Sport - 24mm Front/27.2mm Rear
It's in www.acura.com -> MDX -> Specifications -> Chassis
Has to be a mistake. |

Poly bushings would definitely help, but I highly doubt they are available for the MDX...unless they are universal fit based on diameter. |

| Just a thought: The sport bar may have a smaller diameter but solid (hence more rigid), while the base may be hollow but larger diameter....seen that before on other cars.... |

| I have also seen bars that are hollow but still larger(Hotchkis). I can measure the base bar if someone can measure their Sport bar. thanks. |
