I have a base MDX with the base stereo. I am noticing that certain mid-base frequencies cause some annoying rattling around the door - like buzzing plastic.
Anyone else have this???
It's not at very high volume or max. bass either....say volume 20-22, and base and sub set at +2/+3.
Pretty annoying....my wife's Murano seems to have no issue, with a bigger subwoofer, and this MDX is supposed to be upscale.... |

| yes, i do, it depends on the type of music also whether their is a vibration or not |

| Don't have that problem .....or maybe just not yet :p ...but you could tell the dealer about it on your next visit they will open the door and tighten things up. I had a similar problem in another vehicle one bolt kept backing out for some reason and caused a sound when music played in the door speaker and that's all the dealership did ..tighten things up and it was solved. |

There is a known issue with center speaker rattle and there is a TSB for it. Not sure if you have center speaker issue or not. Just wanted to inform. Search for TSB on the forum, one of the thread has all TSBs for X so far.
I got mine fixed on Center speaker, it was really annoying for almost an year and now it is all gone! |

| Oh yes. The sub makes the whole side of the car rattle. Mind you, I listen to house music but the bass is set to +3 (not max at +6). Dealer applied " the fix" but no help there. It's a bad design with the sub built into the body of the car like that. |

I was getting some buzzing in the left rear passenger door due to bass, but when I checked the door later, I found some lose plastic toys that belonged to my son in the door pocket. Other than that one instance, regardless of how much bass I have or how high I set the subwoofer, there are no buzzes and rattles in my X (old skool rap, electronic, hip hop...). If your X is making untoward noises in response to your music, bring it in -- it's not supposed to do that.

| I've only had the MDX for 5 days, and I am already getting the rattling sound coming from the center speaker at levels over 15. I will have to contact the dealer to have them work on it. |

There is a TSB for the center channel buzz... I had it done and fixed the problem (#07-037).
Good Luck.. I just need to get my front suspension noise fixed and I'll be good. |
