Hello again fellow MDX'ers.
Just wanted to follow up with you all again regarding the roof rack dilemma i had a while back. as a quick reminder, i had the canadian factory rails but didn't have the cross bars. so, I bought them (cross bars) in the US for 1/2 the price and found a great looking Thule box to go with it, again for 1/2 the price.
It's now been resolve! Now, my new dilemma is the security of the cross bars. upon installing the cross bars, I've come to realize that any Schmoe with a torx wrench can remove all 4 corners of the roof rack and take the cross bars and Thule box as 1 unit.
Does anyone know how to over come this? short of presetting the position of the cross bars, then strippiong the bolt so NO one ca remove it, even myself,..... what other options do i have?
Yes, i'm a little paranoid, but when you consider the price tag of the THule box, the cross bars, and of course the cargo it can hold.... it's a very attractive venture for a crook.
