| As I was washing the top of the MDX, I notice that moonroof can be pressed down with just the slightest pressure. Is this normal? I've owned/driven several vehicles with a moonroof and never had this happen before. WTF? |

| Not sure how much pressure you applied but when you open the moonroof, the glass does slide down and into the roof. I would say it's normal. |

| When I washed my car I never noticed it. Mine seems pretty sturdy. Was your moonroof tilted open or was it completely closed? How much pressure did you apply to it? Anyhow, how often does anyone ever pushing down on their moonroof anyways? I would suggest you have it checked out if it concerns you. |

| I've notice the same thing but since there is not issue with leaking or wind noise I guess its normal. |

It might be normal for this vehicle, but NOT normal in general. Like I said, I've owned and driven many cars with a moonroof...none of them ever sank down when pressed on. I only discovered it because when washing the car, a little pressure from soaping the top with a sponge caused it to go down a bit. Seems like maybe the supports aren't that sturdy. |

I'll have to double check in case my moonroff was not closed all the way for some reason. I would think anytime someone is washing the top of their car with a sponge in hand, they may push down to hard and cause water to go down through the gap. Also, if someone is carrying something on top (like xmas tree or something) that would rest on the moonroof, it might be of some concern. |

I'm not going to go digging for it now, but there was a thread a while back on just this subject. People were reporting issues with high-pressure car washes, where water would get into their X through the sunroof.
Needless to say, I was a bit concerned about this when I sent my X through the local wash for the first time, but it was for naught, as nary a drop found its way into my interior -- then, or now.
