This is for folks that have an X with the entertainment package and an IPOD Video and would like to view their IPOD video content on the RES. Here's a link with instructions to get it to work.
All you need apart from the Ipod is an RCA Audio/Video cable. I used the one that came with my Sony camcorder. It worked great for me. |

| also you can spend 20 bucks at radioshack for a kit by shadow that has alot of ipod accessories, including the cable. |

Have you verified the Radio Shack version video/audio cable works for the MDX RES? I read the link from above and it seemed some cables worked, while others did not.
I am looking for first hand experience in the MDX.
Thanks

Thanks for the confirmation.
It seemed after reading the user experiences from the link (above) that some of these cables did not work well or at all. We have a docking station hooked to our main TV which works great, but I wanted a portable one for the X to watch video from the IPod on the RES. Did you find that the video signal did not come from the yellow (standard) cable? If so, which cable did you find the video signal on?
Thanks

In the video section, change the video out to ask, that should solve the issue so when you select a video on the IPOD, it will ask if you want on screen or video out enabled. The cable works fine, the only problem is that if you have a silicon case, the plug not might seat firmly in, so you have to take the top of it off, but thats it. |

All this and now I find out Radio Shack does not sell in online and all the stores in my area are "out of stock" with the item being discontinued... :(
