Is it only me that's having issues with the voice activation system in the 2007 MDX? It seems to work fine when the car is not moving but, once the car is in motion, and even though I try talking slowly and clearly, the system makes almost constant errors. I'd appreciate hearing from others about their experiences.

You're not the only one.

Mine acts, well, not wonderful a lot of the time. I have had it checked and it is "functioning as per normal standards".

I find that unless I read it the EXACT verbiage it's expecting, it is easily confused. I have found that a short pause after it beeps helps a bit too.

Do you have the sunroof/windows open?

Do you have any other ambient in-cabin noise that may confuse the voice-recognition program?

If not then just ask the stealer to fix it!

No, at the time I'm trying to get it to work, all windows and the sunroof are closed and the radio is off. I assume by "stealer", you're referring to the dealer? The other reply from a member mentioned having the same problem and was told by the dealer that the system was working "within normal parameters" ??

Use your normal vioice pattern. Don't try and talk slow. As Needsdecaf stated below, it is expecting at least the first word to be what it expects for the menu items that are available per screen.
Experiment.

Unless you really have a problem, you will get the same answer I did.

Bottom line is that the system is not super reliable and is sensitive to ambient noise. Nothing the stealership can do.
