Hello,
I've been thinking about the Sport Running Boards, and found this Acura dealer (Curry Acura). They're selling those for $439 (retail is $560). Is that the best price one can get, or does anyone know better source? Thanks. I also included a link to their website, everything they have is below retail. Anyone installed these himself? I got quoted by local dealer $220 for installation.

Try hondacuraworld - one of the sponsors here. At the very least, Tim should be able to match Curry's prices.
Search for running board installation and you'll get some tips and pics. $220 sounds a bit much. |

$439 sounds about right, I paid some where around that at hondacuraworld.com Make to check on the shipping cost too. I was very happy with hondacuraworld.com that the boards came quick with no hassle.
They go on easily, I was interrupted other things while installing them so it took me 2-3 hours. The only issue I had was two of the threaded holes under the MDX where buggered up and I couldn't start the bolt. A pass with a tap cleaned them out, no biggie since I had the right size tap at home.
Do a search using "sport running board" and you'll find plenty of info on this site. |

installing running boards should be pretty easy. I installed tube steps, but they all mount to the same holes already prepared from the factory.
The oem instructions are great... and make the install enjoyable.
I just slid a big piece of cardboard under and was able to work on the install without raising the car.
Have fun~ |
