I know it is going to be pricey, but I guess I need to update my GPS in my 2005 MDX. I am in-route to Gainesville, GA right now only to find that the street I am looking for is not on the map. I also tried Gainesville's town hall and that wasn't on the map either.
Is their anywhere besides the Acura dealership that I should look for the update?
Thanks in advance! |

The Acura dealership won't have it. They, just like you, have to order it from www.acuranavi.com, the only official place you can get it. $185 plus shipping and tax. You can try eBay for some older versions (but still new for you) that might be cheaper. |

| Thanks for the information. Another question, is it easy to install and does it seems to be pretty up-to-date? |

| And one other question, (I think I have asked this before) does the new disk have to stay in the car or does it just need to be installed and then removed? |

You just remove the old disk from the NAV drive, pop in the new one and wait for the system to recognize the new disc. The new one does have to stay in the drive, but you can sell your old one on ebay.
As for updates, you'll have to go to the website and see if the updated maps/areas are worth it for you. Generally speaking, if your disc is 3 years old, then an update is worth it. |
