| Wow. Haven't been on site in quite some time (been enjoying many California road trips in my MDX this summer) what a change. Anyway, I have 8k on my MDX and about a month ago it started making a strange sound after turning the car off. It is either a loud "whooooop" sound or a softer "whoop, whoop, whoop" sound. It happens about 70% of the time. Couldn't find an established thread in search, so I'd like some input. Would like some more background before I approach the dealer with a strange noise complaint. |

Whoop, there it is? ( just kidding )
Hmmm .. Im sure the dealer will ask you if your using premium fuel and if so you may have a timing problem. Either way I would get it into the dealer as soon as you can.
Let us know what they find,
TECK! |

| I do use premium fuel. Have had both the 3750 and the 7500 mile services. Casually metioned it at the last service since it had just begun and the service manager said it might be the ABS and not to worry. Now that it is continuing though I will take it in. Unfortunately, it does not always do it: typical. Also, we have noticed that it will grab during braking sometimes. |

That's the just sound of a can of Whoop Ass being opened.... That's not your MDX, just America making the noise :).
Sorry, couldn't resist. This is the first I've heard of this. Do you have your windows down, or can you hear this clearly with the windows up? |

| A few times, I have noticed a woosh sound after shutting off the engine. It is almost like air rushing back out the intake. I can't say this happens all the time, but when I did hear it, it was with the radio off and window or driver's door open. My son has a '93 Honda Accord that does the same thing so I just assumed this to be normal. |

| This ain't no whoosh sound. Even my three year old is commenting on the sound now. I'll take it within the next the couple of weeks and let everyone known what's up. |
