Hi,
I'm new to MDX and just had 04 MDX for a couple weeks, after driving for a while I noticed a small sound from the engine like a bass sound came from a subwoofer......huuummm...huuummm...... when keeping my foot at the same pressure on the gas pedal and if i release the gas pedal and accelarate then that sound went away.
Like I said this is a small sound. The passanger sitting next to me wouldn't hear it and It's only noticable to me if I pay attention to the engine running and w/o turning on the radio.
Anybody experience this kind of sound from the engine before ?? is it normal for MDX making that noise ??

| I haven't had that issue in my '02. I have noticed that while on the throttle, I hear this grinding noise around where the transmission is located. The trans shifts great and I'm not suffering any decreases in performance. But the noise is beginning to bother me. It doesn't happen everyday though. I took it to Davis Acura in Bristol, PA and they gave me some jive about the trans would have to be taken apart to find the problem. |

| I dont think I have that noise. A small exhaust leak near the front? Is it a certain rpm? Can you do this while in park? Maybe you are just getting use to the noises. If it doesnt affect driveability I wouldnt worry about. |

It could be I'm not used to it because what i expect was the engine run at perfect condition and smooth w/o any kind of strange noise come out it.
When I park and try running the engine at different RPM, I don't get that noise at all and when I'm driving it's not happen at any certain RPM.
Like I said in my 1st post, I only hear the noise when I keep the gas pedal at the same pressure and if I release or putting more pressure on it, the noise went away.
