hi all
i did a lot of homework and asked for web based quotes and went to various dealerships in NJ to purchase a 2008 sport ent (in fact 2 of em), not many dealers have them in stock and they were all quoting at least 1.5 K over invoice. Springfield agreed for 500 over but am looking for a steal and to have it for at least 1K below invoice. everyone in the area are ready to order them for me but don;t have in stock. is there so much demand for this trim or just a coincidence ? |

I just bought one yesterday, albeit in the midwest, but from my experience they are a little hard to find. Of the 10 dealers I contacted most only had 1 or 2 sport/ents if they had any at all. $500 over would be a good deal, IMHO. Getting one for below invoice would require being at the right dealer at the right time and depending on how flexible you are with color options. Good luck with the purchase! It is an exceptional vehicle! |

what is $500 over for a 2008 sport / ent ??? really?
any thoughts on lowest leases prices? the 36 mo lease on my 05 nav ent is $529/ mo 36k...it is up in April.... $2700 buy out. I wont buy it for myself... (28k miles if anyone is interested) what would new lease be on a 2008 sport ent?
New Hampshire has no sales tax..so it is real lease dollars only
thanks everyone http://www.acuramdx.org/forums/images/icons/icon10.gif

Hi all
Just finalised a deal on 2008 sport Ent. I am not sure why dealers don't have them in stock and these are made to order or very few being ordered. Is that due to demand or some issue with the model. If anyone has any info please update ASAP so that I could make changes.
the deal I got on this car is as follows
Car (incl destination) - 44450
Accessories -
Body side moulding - 242
moonroof visor - 145
roof rails - 305
crossbars - 221
running boards - 569
wheel locks - 92
total - 46024
tax (NJ) - 3,221.68
plus TTL and REg and fees
total - of 49,900
could anyone please let me know if this is a good deal ?
Any other accesories that you recommend ?
Since parking in the garage by my wife might be a little tricky, was contemplating having sensors boht in the front and the back. any aftermarket deals on that and do they have any impact on the car's life ?
please advise.

You're getting killed on the accessories. Most of these you can install yourself on a lazy weekend, depending on your level of mechanical ability. Try cross-shopping the prices of the add-ons online and you'll see what I mean.
As far as price of the vehicle itself, if it's close to invoice then it depends on your comfort level. Just for comparison, my total for an 07 Sport Ent with tow hitch, sport boards and backup sensors was $48K back in November 06.
Aftermarket sensors shouldn't affect the life of the X. Maybe if it's installed incorrectly you might mess up a fuse but not much else, unless the installer is incompetent. |

Yeah ...got to agree with dj ..you're getting a bit raped there on the access.
I wouldn't tell you how bad since I don't like to hurt peoples happy moments with a brand new vehicle etc. and also since i'm thinking you can't go back on those things since they are already "installed" by the dealer anyway. But for future purchases check around for access. do a search on here and you'll come across tim etc. who can help. |

thanks for your response. I will go back and change the accesories. I would get the ones, which I find diffcult to install - from the dealer and all others I would buy online and do them myself. by anychance could anyone point me towards good aftermarket parking sensors (not baclup sensors) and is they anyway they could be integrated with existing displays on the car ? pls advise

Just wondering how people have been fairing these days on their 2008 Sport Ent Packages.... About to puchase one myself. Can't seem to find dealers with the Black/Ebony in stock around me.... Southern California
Also just to add more info to this forum, Costco Vehicle Pricing is $1500 above invoice, so that no one has to go thru the hassle we did to find that out. |
