I'm 6'1" and was 220 lbs, now I'm 180 lbs.
I started last March and achieved my goal back in November, now (January) after the holidays, I maintained my weight. :D

How did I do it?

I reduced my portions.
Drank lots of water.
Ate every few hours, healthy snack bars, etc.
Drank coffee, when tired of water.
Didn't eat after 7:00 pm.

I basically made note of my calorie intake, and not restrict myself by avoiding certain foods.

Now to maintain it, I'll eat whatever I want, but will be careful the next day to limit my intake.

So far so good, I'ts working for me....I thought I'd share incase you were planning on dieting.

BTW: Dieting doesn't work, watching your intake does.
I'm actually going to join a gym this month to tone up.

feel free to add your secrets to sucess. :2:

WOW! GOOD JOB! Yea, portion control and watching what you eat is key. You should post some before and after pics.

I lost about 50 lbs after high school, which is when I stopped seriously exercising. About 20 lbs of that was during first year of university, of which I would say about half was lost muscle mass. The other 30 lbs, surprisingly enough, happened during a period of four months where I ate nothing but McDonalds. One McDeal burger (no fries or drink) for lunch, and two for dinner. I weighed 210 in high school, 190 in university, and dropped all the way down to 160 after my "McDonalds Diet". I'm 5'8".

I should talk to McDonalds corporate about being their Jared :4:

I always had in my mind that I wanted to get down to 200 lbs, 180 lbs was a dream.

What motivated me was seeing a neighbour who was over 300 lbs and was told to lose weight by his doctor, when I saw him and barely recognized him, I knew I could do it.

If your New Year's resolution was to lose weight, it can be done, don't call it a diet, call it a life style change, mentally keep track of what you eat and hold back the next day.

drink lots of water too.

You may have lost some weight, but I'd hate to see how "healthy" you are. You should watch Supersize me.

I've seen it. I grew up with meat and grease so maybe my metabolism and the rest of my body adjusted to it. I had required checkups done as part of a previous job requirement, and doctors told me I was in perfect health and physical shape.

Let us know if you've seen any improvement with the MDX in acceleration or cornering as a result of your weight loss. That would be the biggest motivation for this forum's members!:D

Watching your intake is not a diet?

Well, good point, I associate "diet" with following someones menu.

I ate whatever, just in smaller portions. :D
