It seems more drivers stay with the higher octanes on gen 1 MDXs. I prefer the $750 + savings per year in my pocket, but everyone has their own unique needs to consider.

Like I have posted previously, I have seen no difference with 87 in my 2005. I was cautious when I tried 87 octane in my X. My 1998 5.9 Grand Cherokee Limited pings and rattles (more than normally) when it does not have 93 or better. It feels like it is running on 3 of 8 cylinders.

Has anyone tried lower octanes in a 2007 or 2008 X? If so what were the results?

Thanks!

Oh please don't start another fuel octane war. It will never end and you won't receive any decent answers. You have been warned.

Understood.

No octane wars intended, simple feedback on personal experiences with Gen 2s and lower octane.

SO NO WARS PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!

FACTUAL EXPERIENCES ONLY!!!!!!NO OPINIONS, JUST YOUR OWN EXPERIENCES WITH YOUR GEN 2 USING LOWER OCTANES!

thanks!
