This is the first time posting to this site and I've read through quite a few threads pertaining to radio problems. But I didn't feel they were the same as mine...so here goes...any help would be much appreciated...
I have an 04 Acura MDX with Navi and RES...
There are two main problems:
1. On the way to church service yesterday morning, Jan 20, 2008, my radio volume would not work. I tried using the volume knob on the radio, as well as the volume adjustment on the steering wheel. However, neither would work so my wife suggested I turn off the power to the radio (pushing in the volume knob) and turn it back on...low and behold the radio started working again.
However, this morning, Jan 21, 2008, I crank the MDX and the radio volume did the same exact thing. I tried the same steps as yesterday but it did not work. I then tried switching over to the cd player to see if it was a possible antenna problem and...no volume.
Is there something I'm missing...? Maybe I somehow switched the settings...? I've called the dealership where it was purchased and am waiting a return phone call. I'll let you all know if there is anything pertinent.
2. My cd player will not eject the cds (it's been this way since I purchased the vehicle...and I didn't know about it then) but it doesn't give me any of the error codes that are provided in the owners manual. Is there a way of fixing this w/out taking it back to the dealership? Also, is this a problem any of you had before?
Thanks...I appreciate the help!!! |

| I never had this issue, but it sounds like there is an electrical issue in the head unit. Definitely not an easy fix. Take it in. |

Thanks midnight...
It happened again and I hear a clicking sound through the Bose speakers, so I'm not sure if it's a wiring issue or maybe a fuse issue? I'll definitely check the fuse first, then take it in... |
