I recently bumped my rear-view mirror while cleaning the interior and broke what seems to be a collar type thing that holds the mirror to the arm that attaches to the car that holds the mirror in place. The mirror is currently in place thanks to the old reliable...duct tape.
Has anyone had to deal with this problem? I assume it all disconnects somehow but I haven't tried to take it apart yet. There are wires that go to the mirror through the bracket that hold the mirror to the car (for the automatic day/night switch).
I may just take it to the dealer to fix, but thought I'd try here first.
