Toyota Canada has announce price reduction on 16 models to reflect strong Canadian$ today.
This includes Lexus too!
The reductions range from $750 for the small Yaris, whose base hatchback model now starts at $13,165, to $8,100 on the Lexus GX luxury sport utility vehicle, now $68,500.
Other companies will follow since Toyota is the first one to reduce pricing, I would not be surprise and hope that Acura will follow, I want to buy my MDX in April.

I have been polishing my crystal ball for the past 2 weeks and I still don't see anything!:2:
Joking aside, I am hoping for Acura to react to Toyota/Lexus price lowering As I want to finalize my purchase within the next 2 weeks.
Lexus is running full page ads in the Globe & Mail about their price drop.
Maybe Acura is waiting to see the sales results for February before they make their next move? |

A deal came my way and I got tired of waiting on Acura Canada to adjust their pricing.
I bought a brand new 2007, yes 2007 MDX Elite for $52,400 + Taxes
it is Formal Black with the Bordeaux Interior.
This MDX is a Canadian version and carries the full Acura Canada warranty till January 24, 2012 or 80,000KM.
This MDX was ordered by a customer at a leasing agency and decided that he would prefer a white one.
I will be taking delivery next week. |

new to the forum. Love the MDX, looking to buy an Elite in Ontario.
Currently the rebate is 6500$ off. I'm in no rush, but would like to purchase before June. Should I wait, will the rebate go up, (or possibly down).
I'm wondering how much more ppl are able to negotiate off in addition to the 6500. Is it reasonable to aim for an additional 3500? to get 10 000 off MRSP total? |

What you are quoting for a $6500 rebate is over since Friday February 29, 2008.
Yo will have to wait to tomorrow to know their next promotion.
Good luck getting a $3,500 discount on top of the $6500 rebate. |

I was at the dealer yesterday negotiating. Didn't really try to push too hard, but the salesguy was willing to knock an additional 2500$ off without too much pressure. He also seemed to say the 6500 would be good until end of March, (that was on March 1st..so I'm assuming that was a March rebate?) |

The rebate for the 08 Elite was $7000 before Feb 1/08 and now it is $6500 so the trend is downwards for rebates. My dealer indicated that sales was higher than expected thus the decrease of $500 on the rebate. I bought my 08 Tech at invoice less the $5500 rebate and the dealer made money on the $1855 PDI/Freight. I also bought a package of all-weather mats, cargo tray and sport running boards at cost. Wheel nuts were thrown in. |

uniMDX - $3500 discount + rebate for Elite? I don't think it is difficult at all !! I got $3350 discount + rebate for a Base 08. That was in Nov 07.
Do a search on postings here....a few ppl did get good deals on the Elite. |

How about a down payment or trade-in with the balance financed with your bank, not Acura. This way you would still get the rebate provided the math makes sense i.e. the interest is lower than the rebate. |

Did you go with this deal because you were using the finance option? I paid slightly less than you did for my '08 Elite, but of course no financing available because I took the rebate. |

The dealers around here do not want to drop a penny!
2007 Demo units with 6,000KM are sold for more money then I paid and Spring time is not the best time to get the best price on a car.
No I did not finance. |

Wow, and I thought the dealers in the prairies were bad! I'm glad to hear that you got a decent deal for your area. I guess they don't give the rebate on the '07's? |

dealers in Ontario seem ready to negotiate. That may be because of the number of dealerships around, but I also wonder if Feb sales weren't as good after the rebates were reduced.
I'm almost ready to move on my Elite 08. Will keep you guys posted
