This may sound like a strange question, but I can't figure it out. I just purchased my 08 mdx last week and whenever I turn on the headlights, only the outer circle light comes on. I attached a pic of the 08 headlights for you to see what I'm talking about. There are two parts to the headlights. The inner part is rectangular shaped and it looks like most headlights, and the outer part has a little circle lamp in it. No matter what variation of headlight I turn on (auto, headlight etc.), only the outer part comes on, never the rectangular part.

The outer part is your Low Beam HID lights.
The inner rectange is your High Beam Halogen light.
Turn on your High Beam's and you will see both the outer smaller light and inner rectangle lit at the same time. |

| Thanks for the clarification. It just looks weird to be the only car on the road without a "full" headlight |

| Check out the BMW lighting system. They have the same deal for a few years now. |
