Hi all,
I wanted to share my experience with replacing the tranny in my MDX. I had purchased the vehicle from the original owner at 113K. He had the tranny replaced under the recall at 80K. Well that tranny lasted until 170K when it went out again. Originally, the dealership was going to charge me $4000 to have a remanufactured unit put it. I was able to work with the Acura Customer Care Group and get the cost down to a flat $2400. I consider myself lucky as it was way out of warranty, but the lesson here is that it's always worth a phone call to see what you can get.
