I find this site extremely useful and thanks to all for posting. I just recently purchased a 2008 MDX with the technology package and so far, so good. I do have one question regarding the navigation system which is driving me nuts. The system is not displaying any accident or construction related problems (not displaying traffic incidents), despite my voice command (i.e. display traffic incidents). What am I doing wrong. I"ve hit several pretty bad accident scenes over the past week and it would have been really nice to be able to know about it and plan an alternate route. Thanks for all responses.

Where do you live at? Some places will not display traffic incidents. If you have the little XM channel guide there is a map on the XM channel guide that shows you what areas have the traffic accident reports. Also when in the navigation screen you have to be zoomed out to where it says traffic.

Thanks for the reply.

(1) Yes, XM Nav is available as I live in the Philadelphia area.
(2) Yes, I'm subscribed to the service.
(3) Yes, I had the signal resent and it did nothing.

Strangely, if I try setting it manually, the "show traffic display" icon is greyed out as if it either was already on or it was unavailable. I spoke to an XM person and they were not very helpful (big surprise). Do I need to also select "all other symbols" (or something to that effect on the Map menu) to have the yellow losanges appear (i.e. accident or construction related info)? That is currently off as the screen becomes too cluttered with every imaginable building. Thanks again.

You didn't answer as to the zoom displayed on your screen. Traffic only displays at certain zoom levels.

Displaying at 1/2 mile, which I believe is o.k. for XM Nav.
