Hello,
My 80K miles, original OEM battery, 2002 MDX would not start, it doesn't make a noise(complete silence) when you turn on the ignition switch and the car seems in total black out (No headlights when ignition is switch to ON(II), alarm doesn't work, no door lights, etc). After reading the manual, it says that it may not be the battery and could be the electrical circuit for the ignition or starter motor.
Does any of you guys had the same problem and what was wrong with it? any idea what's going on? maybe just the battery, or maybe it needs a new starter since nothing is heard when you on the switch? or could it be ignition switch? Please help. Thanks. |

| Well I'd say start with the Battery, they dont have a def lifespan but 5 years is a good time to replace. You can even take it to get load tested. |

The symptoms that you describe are a text book battery failure.

I've thought of the battery to replace first since it's the easiest (I hope it's just that) but the manual leaned me towards something else. I will try getting a new battery and see what happens. Thanks guys for the support.
