I am having trouble importing phone book from my motorola RAZR v3t into my car. I think this phone is compatible for this feature. I am not sure if i am doing something wrong. Somebody please let me know if they were successful in achieving this.

Also when i add entries to my phone book, how do i call based on name instead of the number.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

thanks

I am not sure if Acura got Moto Razrs to do the phonebook import successfully.

I and several other members user Sony Ericsson T68i or other phones that can do this just for importing phone book. U just need to swap the Sim card and transfer. I bought the Sony phone off e-bay for 25$s.

Voice entries in HFL can work for you for what u looking for. If you get the phone book imported into Navigation system, those need to be selected thru the menu dial.

Here is what Acura said when I contacted them about the problem with Moto Rzr:

"Thank you for contacting us regarding the Phonebook Import feature.

Unfortunately, although your vehicle supports the Phonebook Import feature, the Motorola RAZR V3m does not. At this time we have not been made aware of any changes to the software of the phone that would make this feature compatible. Likewise, there are no software or firmware upgrades available for the HandsFreeLink system. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The HandsFreeLink system can utilize either the PBAP (Phonebook Access Profile) or Sync profile to import a stored phonebook to your car. If a phone does not include one of these Bluetooth profiles, it will be unable to import the phonebook.

Also, the HandsFreeLink system must be off in order to access the Cellular Phonebook. To make sure the HandsFreeLink system is off, push the Back button on the steering wheel until the system double beeps.

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us at 888-528-7876. We are available Mon-Fri from 7:00am-8:00pm CT.

Sincerely,

HandsFreeLink Customer Service"
